A new month is here, and keeping up with tradition, Microsoft has announced the first wave of new titles coming to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service, including several amazing games that will be added to the service and will be playable across PC, console, and cloud.
The game coming to the service is surely cause for celebration for Game Pass subscribers, but one of the first wave titles coming to the service is a classic game that is also available for free this month as part of Amazon Prime Gaming. This is a title that no one should miss out on.
Xbox Game Pass and Prime Gaming Offer the Same Classic Title With Different Experiences
The title in question is the popular and critically acclaimed action-adventure title Tomb Raider, which is coming to both Game Pass and Prime Gaming, but both services are offering different experiences. The game coming to Game Pass is the Definitive Edition.
The Definitive Edition comes with digital versions of the Tomb Raider comic, created by Dark Horse, and a mini-art book from Brady Games. The developer videos are also included with the game, as are all seven DLC challenge tombs and all downloadable weapons, outfits, and skills.
The game is available to install and play today. The Definitive Edition is more optimized and has several improvements from the standard edition, such as gameplay, in-game physics, and more. This version is the best way to experience the moment as Lara becomes the Tomb Raider.
Prime Gaming Users Can Claim Game of the Year Edition of the Title
Amazon Prime Gaming is offering the Game of the Year Edition of the title, which is also available to claim today. The Game of the Year edition includes the base game, Tomb of the Lost Adventurer, six single-player outfits for Lara Croft, eight multiplayer maps, and four characters.
This includes the multiplayer maps from the 1939 Multiplayer Map pack, Caves and Cliffs Multiplayer Map pack, Shanty Town, and Shipwrecked Multiplayer Map pack. The single-player skins that are available with the bundle are the Mountaineer skin, Sure-Shot skin, Demolition skin, Guerilla skin, Aviatrix skin, and Hunter skin.
The multiplayer characters are Scavenger Scout, Scavenger Executioner, Scavenger Bandit, and Fisherman. This is everything that the game has to offer, and fans should claim and revisit the origin story of Lara Croft. The game can be claimed by Amazon Prime members by visiting the Prime Gaming website, and they will be provided a GOG code that can be redeemed.
The game has received mostly positive reviews from fans and critics and is praised for its gameplay, graphics, visuals, and more. While players were soon bored with multiplayer, the single-player campaign is applauded to this day, and now is the best chance for anyone left to check it out.
