Xbox Is Ensuring Long-term Sucess
In terms of exclusivity, Xbox has always lagged behind PlayStation. But after the arrival of Starfield and the $70 billion merger deal with Activision Blizzard, Xbox showed us that it wouldn’t be lagging behind its arch-rivals.
Despite reaching fans through its first-party titles, Xbox doesn’t want to restrict itself to its consoles only. That is why, Xbox has decided their four unannounced exclusive titles will be going to other platforms as well. According to the sources, these four titles could be Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded. Microsoft has stated that they have taken this step to ensure long-term success, which will not only impact the company but also the gaming industry as a whole.
Players expected the highly anticipated Bethesda title, Starfield, to go cross-platform. But the CEO of Xbox, Phil Spencer, has ruled out this possibility, along with Indian Jones. Although there are speculations that these two titles, followed by other games, will be playable on other platforms very soon.
Xbox Game Pass has always been a treat for subscribers, with tons of games to play without actually buying them. Now, the future of this subscription service looks more fascinating. What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
