Destiny 2 is one of the best first-person shooter games we have ever had. Set in the mythical science fiction world, this game has every aspect that a great shooting title should possess, like PvP and PvE modes, perfect gameplay mechanics, and captivating visuals.

Adding more fun to it, The Final Shape expansion was recently released on June 4, 2024. This expansion is going to be probably the most influential expansion of the game, as it will put an end to the series’ 10-year storyline. Despite all these, there is one thing that this game has been missing badly.

On the r/destiny2 subreddit, one fan has expressed his dissatisfaction regarding the absence of a shooting range in the game. He has requested the developers introduce a shooting range in this popular first-person shooter with infinite ammo so that he can check the DPS (damage per second) of the weapons in the game.

He has also mentioned the name of another popular shooter action title, Remnant 2, and yes, this game does have a shooting range. He might be in some sort of confusion with his clan because he wants to make a mark that all weapons are not equally efficient in all situations.

To the newbies of Destiny 2, the bow might look cool to use and feel good as well, but according to that fan, “it can’t perform the way it needs to in high-end content.” A bow might deal high damage in a single shot, but it will never be beneficial in a situation where you need continuous firing as its DPS is way too low to suppress or knock down an enemy. So, having a shooting range would make life a lot easier, as the DPS of all the weapons would be understood.

Why is a Shooting Range Important?

Despite a 200-GB preload file of the all-new expansion, The Final Shape, there was no sign of any shooting range in the game. Shooting range is a must-have in today’s competitive world of gaming, especially in action shooter titles. First of all, it makes your aim better because you can customize situations as per your needs. Moreover, if you are weak in long-range fights, then you can learn to control the recoil of the gun as well as crosshair placements.

On the other hand, if you are not good in close-range battles, then a shooting range can always make your hip firing better. Not only that, practicing shooting range makes you aware of the perfect uses of all the weapons according to certain situations. It also makes improvements to your movements, like crouching, proving, and strafing, as movement is as important as shooting because it makes you harder to get hit by the enemies.
