The new queer thriller starring Anne Hathaway has left her The Devil Wears Prada Costar in complete awe, and Emily Blunt can’t get enough of it. Eileen, adapted from Ottessa Moshfeg’s novel of the same name, has been a return to form for the Hathaway after her first release in 2023, She Came to Me, starring Peter Dinklage, failed to score high.

Emily Blunt Can’t Stop Gushing Over Anne Hathaway

Emily Blunt, who starred alongside Anne Hathaway in 2006’s The Devil Wears Prada, can’t stop gushing over Anne Hathaway’s look as Rebecca in Eileen. Blunt, who has been vocal for the queer community and once expressed her desire to be a gay icon, stated that she couldn’t figure out if “I want to be with her or be her?”, as she kept going with her flattering remarks. On Variety’s Actors on Actor, she said,

“You’re so sexy in this movie it’s crazy, so sexy in the movie! And I couldn’t figure out ‘Do I want to be with her or be her?’ It was so deliciously deceptive, I always find you so magnetic.”

As Hathaway reddened to the description of herself by Blunt, fans now can’t wait to see the two join forces for a romantic flick, which isn’t unreasonable, as the chemistry between the two is palpable.

Both Are Down for The Devil Wears Prada Sequel if It Ever Gets Greenlit

While it was been 17 years since The Devil Wears Prada hit the big screens and transitioned Anne Hathaway from a Disney princess to a prominent star, there have been no talks for a sequel to the thriller. However, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt have showcased interest in the idea of a sequel, with Blunt expressing that she’d do it in an instant if it ever came to fruition. She told The View(via X),

“I would do [a sequel] in a heartbeat just to play with those guys again. It’s so fun.”

While Hathaway too would be down for a sequel if it ever sees the end of the tunnel, the actor isn’t sure if a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada in the current landscape is even possible. Hathaway said,

“I don’t know if there can be [a sequel movie]. I just think that movie was in a different era, you know? Now, everything’s gone so digital, and that movie centred around the concept of producing a physical thing. It’s just very different now.”
