During the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial, Heard’s attorney raised the issue of the actor’s commitment not to participate in “Pirates 6″ if the opportunity arose. “The fact is, Mr. Depp if Disney came to you with $300 million and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film? Correct?” Ben Rottenborn asked.

Depp answered, “That is true, Mr. Rottenborn.” He also stated that the studio “was trying to cut ties to be safe” amid the #MeToo movement. However, recent reports have suggested that the studio is interested in getting Depp back in the franchise.
