“You have really terrible taste..”: Ezra Miller’s Flash Tried But It Still Failed to Beat Ben Affleck’s Warehouse Fight in Zack Snyder’s Batman vs Superman

Fans agree to the consensus that Zack Snyder delivered one of the best Batman fight scenes in the DCEU.

SUMMARY

  • The Flash depicted an impressive Batman action sequence, but it's far from the best that the DCEU has done with the character.
  • Batman's best fight scene still remains the Warehouse rescue from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
  • James Gunn could look the DCEU for references when it comes to fight scenes, if little else.

The DC Extended Universe might have failed at the box office, but the franchise has some of the most well-put-together action sequences for a slew of DC characters. Specifically, under the direct leadership of Zack Snyder, these characters have been able to go all out, without having to pull any punches.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice saw Batman have some great action set pieces, among which was his warehouse fight scene during the rescue of Martha Kent. Despite The Flash trying to top it with its chase scenes and fights, fans still believe that Batman’s fight in the warehouse remains one of the DCEU’s best fight scenes.

Fans have taken to the internet to talk about how BvS depicted the rescue of Martha Kent, and how Batman’s fight with the goons at the warehouse remains one of the best action pieces that the character has been a part of.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice had some of the best action scenes of the DCEU, only rivaled by Zack Snyder’s Justice League. The DCEU was able to craft some great battle scenes, each allowing a balanced look at all parties involved, especially when it involved multiple fighters on the same side of the conflict.

James Gunn has a lot to live up to when it comes to action sequences

James Gunn’s new DCU might be an overhaul of the DC Universe, but Gunn needs to keep in mind that action scenes are important for superhero films. While Gunn is no stranger to that, the director will need to keep in mind that the DCEU had some of the greatest modern action pieces put on the scene, and would benefit by taking inspiration from its predecessor in this regard at least.

While Zack Snyder and James Gunn have very distinctive styles when it comes to filmmaking, the action scenes for at least the characters without powers, such as Batman, Mr. Terrific, and Green Arrow would be fertile ground for James Gunn to build upon the precedent and quality set by Snyder, which would not only be a great way of making the characters fell competent but also be a great addition to the film’s narrative.
