But as if this wasn’t enough, there are now rumors that joining Ryan Reynolds and Jackman will be a former DCEU star.
There had been several reports even in the past that suggested that Henry Cavill, who is iconic for playing the role of Superman in the now-dismantled DC cinematic universe, might appear in the film as a variant of Wolverine. But now, an insider source reveals that Cavill will indeed be introduced in the franchise in this manner in the upcoming film.
Henry Cavill Might Make Appear As Wolverine In The Upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine
Even before all the rumors about Henry Cavill joining the MCU had begun to take form, fans had desperately wished for the star’s entry into the cinematic juggernaut, speculating that he could play the role of Captain Britain from Marvel Comics. But now, sources fan the flames of the star’s entry as none other than Wolverine in the franchise.
In a recent report by Henry Hards from Giant Freaking Robot, he claimed to have got an inside scoop from an inside source who confirmed that the Argylle star will make his appearance in the MCU in Ryan Reynold‘s and Hugh Jackman‘s upcoming film Deadpool and Wolverine. Along with that, he claimed that this variant of the OG Mutant that the star would be portraying would wear a long brown coat in the film, which fans should keep a lookout for.
Hards verified this information, claiming that this was the same source that earlier reported that Linda Cardellini would voice Lylla the Otter in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. which was later confirmed by director James Gunn. He said:
“Henry Cavill will appear in Deadpool & Wolverine as a multiverse variant of Wolverine. His version will be wearing a long brown coat when he shows up, and this will be Cavill’s first appearance in the Marvel universe.”
Naturally, this news spread around like wildfire as fans of the stars as well as comic books and the MCU all were in disbelief.
