In 2020, actress Pom Klementieff made a diss track in French for AGBO Superhero League directed towards her Marvel Cinematic Universe co-star, Chris Hemsworth. The actress performs an adaptation of “Laisse Tomber Les Filles” with French lyrics she co-wrote with Simon Pegg. The video was shot in Venice while Klementieff was shooting Mission: Impossible 7 with Pegg, Tom Cruise, and Rebecca Ferguson.
In a past interview, Pegg recalled how Venice was “virtually deserted,” so they decided to make the video called, Au Revoir, Chris Hemsworth. The video featured various parts of Venice, including that one passage where Klementieff’s character, Paris, fights with Cruise’s Ethan Hunt. With Ryan Goslings’ I’m Just Ken gaining popularity, it’s the best time to remind the fans of this hilarious song that Klementieff made.
Marvel star Pom Klementieff made a diss track directed towards Chris Hemsworth
Back in 2020, actress Pom Klementieff, who is well-known for her work as Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, made a diss track called Au Revoir, Chris Hemsworth that was directed towards her Marvel Cinematic Universe co-star Chris Hemsworth. The French lyrics written by Simon Pegg and Klementieff mercilessly dissed Hemsworth but the actor took no offense as this track was made in collaboration with AGBO Superhero League. For 2 minutes and 20 seconds, Klementieff didn’t hold back her insults, and fans should definitely check out the entire video.
The video was shot like a French New Wave cinematic short and featured Klementieff signing the song in various parts of Venice. At one point, fans also get to see the passage where Klementieff’s Mission Impossible: 7 character fights with Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt in the movie.
Simon Pegg explained how they made the song
In a part interview with CinemaBlend, Simon Pegg revealed that Venice was “virtually deserted” when they were shooting Mission: Impossible 7. So, in their free time, Pegg and Klementieff decided to record the music video for their diss track. Pegg explained,
“With the pandemic being the way it was when we were shooting this one, our time in Italy was incredible because we were all in these bubbles, we spent all of our time with each other. The new cast members, we all bonded so quickly and so intensely. Having Venice to ourselves… we were in Venice when it was virtually deserted. To the point where myself and Pom Klementieff went off and made a little short film called ‘Au Revoir, Chris Hemsworth.’ It’s on YouTube. Check it out. Because we just had this beautiful Italian city to just have fun in. And we got shut down for 10 days because we had a COVID case in the crew. So yeah, so many memories, so many stories.”
The iconic diss track ended with cameos by Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, and Rebecca Ferguson as Klementieff sings, “One thing I’m certain of, and I’m sorry to break your heart, but my team is better than yours,” which is obviously an attack on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes: The Avengers.
