We’re less than a month away from one of WWE’s biggest events ever. But tensions started to rise even before the final showdown. Recently, Amanda Huber, wife of the late AEW star Jon Huber (Brodie Lee), called out Dwayne Johnson for his insensitive comment on Cody Rhodes.
Huber, who works with AEW as a community outreach coordinator, criticized Johnson for talking about Rhodes’ age gap with his siblings when The Rock’s own kids have a 20-year difference.
Simone is Johnson’s eldest child, born in 2001 to his former wife, Dany Garcia. His youngest daughter, Tiana Gia Johnson, was born in 2018.
Brodie Lee’s Widow Takes a Jab at Dwayne Johnson for Insulting Cody Rhodes
In the main event segment of SmackDown, Roman Reigns and Dwayne Johnson showed up. The Rock had a new entrance with thunder effects. Reigns hugged him and asked the fans to acknowledge “us.” Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins then entered from the crowd, rather than the stage.
But they quickly got into an argument, where The Rock mentioned Rhodes being the youngest among his siblings, and 20 years younger, makes him a “mistake.”
Cody Rhodes was born on June 30, 1985, while his half-brother, Dustin Rhodes, was born on April 11, 1969. This makes Goldust approximately 16 years older than The American Nightmare.
Stardust didn’t take The Rock’s statement well. He retaliated with a slap—something fans had been wanting him to do since the WrestleMania XL Kickoff press event.
The show then went off the air. After the show ended, the Fast & Furious actor didn’t do anything to Rhodes. Rather, he just left the ring. Later, Rhodes’ sister, Teil Rhodes, responded to The Rock’s promo by writing, “Um, we are 3 years apart. He’s just mad we are an actual family.”

The widow of Brodie Lee tweeted about this situation, writing, “Talking about an age gap when your own daughters are almost 20 years apart is a weird choice…”

Huber later followed up with the following tweet:

After Rhodes slapped Johnson, the Hollywood star chose not to retaliate and simply smiled. WWE recently shared a video of backstage, showing both The Brahma Bull and Reigns are furious with Rhodes’ actions.
Will Dwayne Johnson and Cody Rhodes Fight in WrestleMania 40?
It is confirmed that The Rock will wrestle at WrestleMania 40. He’s teaming up with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns to take on Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. This will be The Rock’s first match since 2016.
During night one of WrestleMania 40, The Rock and Reigns will face Rhodes and Rollins. There’s a stipulation: If Rhodes and Rollins win, The Bloodline can’t be ringside for night two’s main event between Reigns and Rhodes for the title. If The Rock and Reigns win, it’ll be Bloodline rules, and The Rock will do “everything” to stop Rhodes from winning the title.
The match between the two teams was confirmed on Friday’s Smackdown. Rhodes and Rollins accepted the conditions, proposed by The Rock last week on the show, in response to Rhodes wanting a match against The Rock. Rollins also said he’d have Rhodes’ back if the match happened.
