Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have continued to be in conversation even eight years after they announced their split. The couple has since moved on, as Affleck married Jennifer Lopez last year, and has been co-parenting children with his ex-wife.
However, it also has its challenges, and the Alias actress recently opened up about balancing her work life with co-parenting her three children with her ex-husband and his current wife.
Jennifer Garner Opens Up About Balancing Motherhood And Career
During a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Jennifer Garner opened up about how she balances her work and personal life. She shared her experience and how her mother has been there to support her as she stated how working mothers are constantly told,
“You have 18 summers,’ ‘you have this much time,’ ‘time is fleeting.”
However, the actress shared that her mother always encouraged her not to feel guilty as a working mother. “My mom has always said to me, ‘You’re their mom forever, don’t worry, you can do your job. You’re their mom forever,” she shared her mother’s encouraging words.
Garner also prompted fellow mothers to do the same, saying that they should not feel “guilty all the time” for being a working mom. She further stated,
“Just be here when your kids show up, be there, and we’ll have a great time.”
The 51-year-old actress shares three children with actor Ben Affleck, who married Jennifer Lopez last year. They have been co-parenting their children. However, the 13 Going on 30 actress has called it a “mess” during an earlier interview.
Jennifer Garner Called Parenting a Gift
Jennifer Garner candidly opened up about co-parenting her children with ex-husband Ben Affleck as she joined fellow actress Sheryl Lee Ralph on Variety’s Actors on Actors series. The two talked about the common things in their life, being a Hollywood star and a mother.
Further into their conversation, the Yes Day actress called parenting a gift. “And all the mess of parenting. It’s a gift,” she said. Ralph and Garner also talked about their bond with their ex-partners, as the singer-actress praised the Pearl Harbor star for having a great relationship with her ex-husband, Ben Affleck.
Affleck and Garner finalized their divorce in 2018 after announcing their split in 2015. The former couple have been co-parenting their children Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. Affleck got married to Jennifer Lopez last year, who shared two children with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. The couple is often seen hanging out with their children.
