A bodybuilder, Sam Hopes, took creatine for ten days to see its impact on his body. Although it didn’t yield the expected results, he noted that creatine does the job of a quick energy boost. The bodybuilder experienced a familiar uplift and got less nauseous than pre-workout.

Creatine is different from pre-workout. It is a single ingredient meant for daily use over time to improve performance. Meanwhile, pre-workout uses several ingredients (including high caffeine content) for a quick energy and focus boost before a workout.

Although it was a short experiment by the bodybuilder, he experienced some benefits during workouts—feeling fueled and energized with less fatigue.

As Hopes said on Tom’s Guide, “You’re unlikely to feel massive changes” to begin with because they depend on different creatine levels. Current scientific evidence doesn’t indicate creatine is unsafe. But Hopes did recommend consulting a doctor before its consumption.

As said, the bodybuilder didn’t see much of a change with creatine and Monk D’s workout. Does it imply Wahlberg uses steroids? It’s unlikely.

Because his diet and exercise discipline is legendary. His morning routine starts with turmeric for inflammation, vitamins C and D, and a protein powder in a pre-workout shake, as the star told The Wall Street Journal.

How is Mark Wahlberg Still Fit to This Day?

Even though Mark Wahlberg slowed down his fitness routine at 52, in 2018, he revealed that his packed schedule starts at 3:30 a.m. when most of the world is in dreamland.

By 4 am, he’s hitting the gym for his first workout. After the gym, while most people still decide between coffee or tea, he’s done with his reading and prayer time. Another factor is his healthy diet. In an interview with GQ in 2023, the avid golfer explained what his diet looks like:

“Usually eggs, protein pancakes, smoked salmon, a couple pork chops, a couple sausage links and protein with some almond butter for breakfast. I usually have chicken and bok choy for lunch, and then steak and fish for dinner with some sort of vegetable.”

Growing up, Wahlberg’s favorite food was lasagna—a traditional Italian dish. But pasta has become his go-to cheat meal. So, overall, his rigorous routine, exercise, diet, and consistent effort are what keep him fit at the age of 52.
