Elden Ring may be two years old now, but make no mistake, the 2022 Game of The Year winner is still as active as it was back then. The highly passionate Elden Ring community has pretty much made a sport out of beating the game using wacky builds.

Whether it’s beating Malenia using Elon Musk’s hilariously underpowered build or using mods to pit bosses against bosses, it’s incredible to see how creative fans can get with the game. However, even among all this lunacy, Jesus himself becoming Elden Lord is something we could never see coming.

Popular Elden Ring YouTuber Cloud uploaded a video in which he responds to a community request by literally creating a biblically accurate version of Jesus in Elden Ring. Yes, the Lord and Saviour himself plunged into The Lands Between to have a go at the Elden Throne.

For the character’s appearance, Cloud went for the bog-standard male body type, just with long hair. He then headed to Murkwater Cave to pick up the ‘Cloth Garb’ clothing set, which very accurately resembles Jesus’ white robes.

He initially intended for a pacifist run, but upon finding out that Jesus did use a whip in the Bible to drive animals away from the temple, he picked up one in-game as well.

However, the whip alone wouldn’t cut it, so Cloud acquired a ‘Beast’s Roar’ Ash of War that resembles “the word of God”, ‘Stormhawk Deenh’ spirit summon, and the ‘Stone of Gurranq’ incantation that allowed him to hurl boulders. Armed with these heavenly weapons, he set off to cleanse The Lands Between of the unholy creatures that plagued it.

No Boss Left Unstoned

The very first obstacle in Jesus’ way was Margit, the Fell Omen, which was a cakewalk for the Lord. By hurling boulders that caused 600 damage and whipping Margit, Jesus deftly swept the boss away and made his way to the next sinner – Godrick the Grafted.

Cloud reckoned Godrick had to repent for the sins of claiming the limbs of innocents and grafting them onto his body, and so Jesus swiftly delivered boulders of justice to him as well. At this point, the YouTuber believed he could beat the whole game with this build and so made his way up to face Malekith.

2 Losses, 1 Win

Malekith turned out to be the hardest fight so far, as the extremely rapid boss was triumphant against Jesus for 2 runs straight. However, lightning struck on the third run, as Jesus was able to dodge almost every attack perfectly, overcoming the beast and obtaining Destined Death.

It was Godfrey’s turn next, and yet again, Jesus was bested on the first two tries. However, after carefully maneuvering the First Elden Lord’s earth-shaking attacks, Jesus was able to get an edge over him. Godfrey’s bloodthirsty phase-two form, Hoarah Loux, then came out, but he was still no match for Jesus’ immaculate dodges and whip lashes.

It was time, then, for Jesus to face the final hurdle in his way to claiming the moniker of Elden Lord. The Radagon boss fight yet again followed the pattern of the previous two – losses in the first two runs, success in the third.

And soon enough, after slaying the Elden Beast in the third go, our Lord and Saviour finally rested on the Elden Throne. Right after, Cloud headed to Windmill Village to procure the thorny crown, and once procured, the Jesus playthrough was officially complete.
