Henry Cavill has once again departed from the DC Universe after a lengthy back and forth with the franchise as Superman. James Gunn very clearly stated previously that his plan for the future of DC Films might not make every fan happy, but what they didn’t expect was this shocking announcement.
Naturally, the audience gave out a lot of backlash against James Gunn and even want him to be removed from his position as CEO of DC Films. This is all due to them not approving of this decision, wanting to see Cavill come back as the hero that is loved by everyone. Some even jumped up to his support and want him back no matter what.

The rumor of Henry Cavill no longer being a part of the DCU, unfortunately, came true with both he and James Gunn releasing statements regarding the same. While Gunn states that there could be a future with Cavill, he also clarified that the kind of Superman story that the franchise is planning for would be from the point of view of a much younger version of the character, but still refraining from an origin story.
The Man of Steel actor expressed his sadness about accepting the news shortly after he was reinstated as the character. Fans have been demanding the return of his version of Superman, saying that someone who looks like and has been the character for so long is truly ideal for the role as well. Cavill’s wish to play the hero remains dormant once again, even if the fans continue to root for him. Gunn on the other hand is being demanded to be fired by the audience because of all the decisions to push out everything Zack Snyder built, including a fan-favorite hero.

The CEO has been not only getting hate, but fans are also demanding that they would rather have Cavill than him. No version of Superman could replace the actor in their eyes as for them he was the perfect person to play the role.
