Zack Snyder seems as attached to his version of the DCEU as fans are. The director recently revealed his thoughts on his version of the DC characters, and what he would do if he was given the chance to finish their respective arcs. The director has previously said that he would swear off comic book films, but it seems that a few short weeks have changed his mind again.

Speaking with CulturaOcio, Snyder revealed what plans he has for his version of the Justice League. Well, at least the conditions under which he would be open to finishing what he started with Warner Bros. and DC.

All Netflix has to do is get the rights to the DCEU

Zack Snyder has said, in very explicit terms, that he would be open to finishing his version of the Justice League. All he needs is for Netflix to own the writes to his version of the characters. The Rebel Moon director said to CulturaOcio:

“If Netflix had owned the rights to the DC characters in my extended universe, of course I would. Absolutely.”

It seems the director is ready to see his Justice League story through, but not under Warner Bros. While the 300 creators have said he is not above directing an Elseworlds film for DCEU, he is not going to work for the company anymore, given the charred history that the production company has with the visionary director.

The Snyderverse seems ever alive on the internet

The comments from Zack Snyder and Netflix seem to have ignited a part of the internet that had largely become dormant after the DCEU was announced to come to an end. Fans on X have been pointing out what Gunn had previously said, causing a lot of Snyderverse fans to come out of the woodwork and take up the cause once again.

While fans are now more than excited for the Snyderverse, it is highly doubtful that DC would allow this to happen. It seems that the Snyderverse will be there to haunt the folks at WB a little longer. All eyes are now trained on Gunn’s DCU, which, with great product and good storytelling, will be able to put the matter to rest permanently- if not pour fuel on the fire.
