Throughout his reign in the DC Extended Universe (which has notably been let to rest now with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom), Zack Snyder made sure to create some of the best and most grounded works of all time.
Yes, 2017’s Justice League couldn’t quite make the splash that it was expected to, but it was only because Warner Bros. had the final say in it, not allowing Snyder enough creative control.
Thus, the original spectacular ideas that the filmmaker had for it never got the chance to show through the film. However, that seemingly changed with his most recent movie, Rebel Moon.
As pointed out by a fan, Zack Snyder seemingly took a core plotline from his unfinished storyline of DC Extended Universe’s Justice League and molded it to perfectly incorporate it into the Rebel Moon universe. And, as expected, fans are having the time of a lifetime after hearing this news.
Zack Snyder’s Unused Justice League Plotline Made Its Way Into Rebel Moon?
When Zack Snyder‘s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice came out, despite love from fans, critics refused to budge from their critically panned opinion of it. Thus, even though this paved the way for 2017’s Justice League, it was only greenlit by Warner Bros. without much creative freedom allowed to the director.
This constant pestering by the higher-ups to change the storyline into what the film ended up becoming, along with a personal family tragedy (his daughter’s death), eventually led Snyder to leave the project midway. Because of this, all his ideas for DCEU’s Justice League were left unexplored in the franchise as well.
However, instead of letting all those ideas go down to waste, the Man of Steel helmer seemingly decided to incorporate some of them into his newly made saga, Rebel Moon. Recently, a fan (@theeSNYDERVERSE) pointed out the same while taking to X to share the striking similarities between the descriptions of both projects.
Something so funny about Zack taking all his best unused Justice League ideas and using them for the Rebel Moon universe 💀 pic.twitter.com/f4JL3wDk3f

According to this, Snyder apparently decided for DCEU’s Justice League to have a scene where the band of DC’s superheroes would gather together to “have this last supper sort of reckoning, where they would all tell their stories” on the night before their “big mission”. As it turned out, something similar was destined for the Rebel Moon rebels as well.
The other picture attached to the post is the screenshot of the summary of the soon-to-be-released second film from the Rebel Moon saga, Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver. In this, the highlighted lines mark out: “On the eve of their battle, the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight.”
Comparing both storylines gives only one result: Zack Snyder did, in fact, take one of his core unused plotlines that he created for DCEU’s Justice League and put it in the Rebel Moon saga instead.
After looking at this, fans have mixed opinions as to whether to grieve the loss of a masterpiece that DC Extended Universe’s Justice League could have been or be happy that the filmmaker finally got to make use of his spectacular ideas.
Zack Snyder Fans React To This Striking Revelation
Previously, fans were heartbroken to see Zack Snyder exit the very project for which he had the most perfect storyline already designed. But now, with this striking revelation of him incorporating his unused Justice League work into his Rebel Moon saga hitting them, they are happy that the filmmaker could do justice to himself.
At the same time, multiple fans are also expressing grief and agony at Warner Bros. for robbing fans of what could have easily become an extraordinary masterpiece with 2017’s Justice League. All in all, they are having mixed reactions to this revelation.
Pouring it all out of X, here’s what they have to say as a whole:

I also wonder if Junkie XL is doing the same for his music for Rebel Moon, because watching the film and hearing the soundtrack made me feel like I was watching part 2 of Justice League.

Kora going around recruiting warriors of different backgrounds to fight a bid bad is the same idea from his Wonder Woman concept, where she would recruit all kinds of warriors from different cultures to help her fight Ares during the Crimean War.

Well, for one thing, Zack Snyder only further proved one of his most remarkable traits. Besides being a mastermind creating some of the most exceptional masterpieces of all time, he is as efficient with his work as ever as well.
