Fans have taken to social media to talk about what they would need from the director to make sure that Daredevil and Elektra’s characters are done justice. The fans of the director are aware of where the filmmaker shines and where his weaknesses lie. Keeping that in mind, fans have decided to only allow the filmmaker to realize his vision for the characters if there is a way to mitigate the weakness that he has.

The issue that fans have with Snyder doing a Daredevil and Elektra fic, is that they feel that the director is unable to tell a good story. Pointing at films like Army of the Dead, they feel that Snyder’s understanding of characters like Daredevil won’t be true to his depiction in the comics. Taking to X to voice their opinions, fans were vocal about this criticism.

If Snyder can stick to the directing chair, while letting writing duties be taken over by writers familiar with the character, fans are sure that the resulting piece of media could do the characters and the story justice, while also being a fantastic and visually appealing film to watch.

For now, Zack Snyder is done with superheroes

While the 300 director has said that he is done with heroes for now, Snyder still has some ideas in mind about what he would like to do if DC or Marvel ever gave him the call. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Snyder pointed out a property per franchise that he would be interested in developing. According to the Hollywood Reporter:

“If his buddy Gunn called and invited him back to DC, he might consider doing a Dark Knight Returns adaptation (but only “a true representation of the graphic novel”). If Marvel rang, he might think for a beat about a Daredevil and Elektra movie — maybe adapting Frank Miller’s Elektra Lives Again (“But that’s it,” he insists).”

Given the dark and gritty nature of such properties, it would be quite a treat for Snyder fans to see him direct these comic book storylines. While the Dark Knight Returns had a significant impact on Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, a true live-action adaptation could be a treat for fans of the Caped Crusader all around the world. Given that Daredevil is a similarly dark property, albeit more nuanced, the right writer could make a critically acclaimed blockbuster if united with Snyder’s vision,
