Acclaimed filmmaker Zack Snyder is no stranger to a massive fanbase, who are always at his support and get things done. Apparently, a major portion of the credit for the release of Justice League Snyder Cut goes to his fans who made it possible. But unfortunately, it was previously reported that Snyder Army was nothing but mere bots.
Addressing that comment made by Rolling Stones in 2022, Zack Snyder recently claimed to be grateful to his massive army of fans and even commented on bots. Whether or not his army is filled with bots or fans, Snyder expressed his undeniable gratitude towards them.

Zack Snyder Was Accused of Using Bots to Release Snyder Cut
Following the release of Justice League in 2017 which tanked the box office, Zack Snyder‘s work got hailed by DC fans. So much so, that when the filmmaker claimed to possess an unfinished version of the film, Snyder fans got agitated to witness it. But surprisingly, no one knew if it was a myth or reality.
Snyder Army simply hoped to see the Justice League Snyder Cut. Therefore, the army of fans began popping up online with hashtags and requests that eventually turned into something like an organized movement. Putting up a billboard in Times Square, and forcing Warner Bros to release the director’s cut, Snyder Army went out of hand.
But in the end, Snyder Army helped Zack Snyder release the director’s cut for Justice League. However, he was slammed by Rolling Stones in 2022, who claimed that a sizable chunk of the online Snyder Cut traffic was generated by bots. Reporting that Snyder Army is nothing but mere online bots, the outlet implied and accused the filmmaker of forgery.
Zack Snyder is Grateful to His Army of Bots/Fans
However, almost a year later Zack Snyder finally addressed the claims of Rolling Stones and commented on the same. During his recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the director expressed his gratitude towards his fans for making it possible to release the Justice League Snyder Cut.
Whether or not the Snyder Army is filled with bots, Zack Snyder didn’t seem to bother. He was simply happy that the fans/bots helped him make his dream come true of releasing the unadulterated version of his 2017 movie. Thus, during the interview, Snyder expressed his gratitude for the fans/bots.
“The truth is? It doesn’t matter. The movie got made. If they were smart enough to employ bots in this thing, then they won. That movie has no business existing — and it does.”
Bots or genuine fans, Snyder Army forced Warner Bros to fork over $80M for him to release the director’s cut of Justice League.
