When it comes to the superhero genre, Warner Bros. has simply failed to keep pace with Walt Disney, with the projects under the DC Studios umbrella consistently disappointing at the box office. The only time DCEU has posed any substantial threat to the MCU’s dominance is when Zack Snyder was at the helm of Snyderverse – the trilogy of films around Superman, including Man of Steel.

However, after Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the much-acclaimed filmmaker hasn’t lent his creative genius to the franchise, much to the disappointment of many fans, who are all the more infuriated with Warner Bros. for not linking up with him after seeing visuals from Rebel Moon.

Why Fans Are Criticizing Warner Bros. After Watching Trailer of Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon

Under the leadership of their new co-CEO James Gunn, DC Studios brought The Flash to the big screen, having committed a staggering budget of up to $220 million. The movie bombed at the box office for a number of reasons, not least because of its below-par use of CGI despite such a huge outlay. The scene featuring Ezra Miller and flying babies was the subject of plenty of jokes.

It’s been many months since The Flash released so one would think Warner Bros. would stop catching strays for their expensive failure. However, the trailer of Zack Snyder‘s Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire has once again led to criticism in the direction of the entertainment giant.

Fans are impressed with Snyder for delivering appealing VFX-heavy sequences for a fraction of the budget of The Flash. The budget for the two Rebel Moon movies combined is $166 million.

Another aspect that left The Flash viewers disappointed was the slow-paced storyline of the Andy Muschietti-directed film. Snyder would certainly hope fans are equally appreciative of his story-building after Rebel Moon’s premiere (first part) on Netflix on December 15.

What Is Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon About?

The science-fiction epic, which is thought to be a mix between Star Wars and Dune, will focus on Sofia Boutella‘s Kora, a lone-wolf soldier living on the quiet farming moon of Veldt.

But things take a turn for the worse after her violent past follows her, as Admiral Atticus Noble comes to Veldt via a Dreadnought-class battle cruiser and threatens to destroy the colony on the edge of the galaxy on the orders of the Imperium’s tyrannical regent, Balisarius. This starts the fierce battle, where there are no heroes, only rebels.

Apart from Boutella, the movie stars the likes of Ed Skrein, Charlie Hunnam, and Djimon Hounsou. The legendary Anthony Hopkins voices a robot named Jimmy, who is having a hard time with reality in that galaxy and has lost the will to fight.
