Although Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece tells the story of Monkey D. Luffy, the Shonen series tends to focus extremely on the other characters of the show as well. This statement can be justified as the mangaka tends to give his attention to Roronoa Zoro, the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirate Crew, a lot.

He has been showcased as a talented swordsman with a cold attitude, matched perfectly with his undying loyalty towards his crewmates, especially his captain, and a goal to be the best swordsman in the world. Though he was a man of immense talent, another name stands between him and his dreams.

It is none other than Dracule Mihawk, the World’s Strongest Swordsman. Despite losing his initial face-off, fans are eagerly waiting for their rematch. However, The Pirate Hunter appears to have no chance of defeating The Apostle of Annihilation, as Oda-Sensei has introduced a fourth type of Haki that he and Monkey D. Dragon can wield.

Eiichiro Oda Doesn’t Intend To Make Roronoa Zoro The Strongest Swordsman in One Piece Anytime Soon

Roronoa Zoro was first featured in Episode 2 of One Piece, titled The Great Swordsman Appears, where Monkey D. Luffy arrived at Shell Island with a timid Koby. They encountered the Pirate Hunter at the marine base, where Captain Morgan had imprisoned him. After defeating the Marine Captain, Zoro shared his dream of being the world’s greatest swordsman so that he could honor his childhood friend’s memory.

However, in the 24th episode, Zoro realized how weak he was as he faced off against Dracule Mihawk, who defeated him without any effort. Since then, Moss Head has come a long way, and he has made a notorious name for himself, as he not only went against some of the biggest names in the Grand Line but also came out on top.

Consequently, fans have been eager over the years because they want to see the two in a rematch and see the Senior Officer of the Straw Hats achieve his lifelong dream. However, it looks like Eiichiro Oda does not want fans to think too far ahead because he has done something that fans did not anticipate in their wildest dreams.

Recently, Pew (@pewpiece) shared on X that the One Piece Vivre Card Booster Pack “The Threat of the Strong from the New World!” is going to be released, which will feature Vivre Cards of some of the “formidable characters” in the series, including the card of Dracule Mihawk.

Another page (@NakeemHere) gave an update on the Vivre card of the member of the Cross Guild, where they stated the basic information as well as all his nicknames. However, what got the attention of the fans was that it was stated that he could not only use the three Haki types but also use a fourth type of Haki called Kami no Haki, which directly translates to Divine Haki.

However, that’s not all because this Haki is so rare that only he and Monkey D. Dragon can use it. Following the news, all the Zoro fans were heartbroken because it meant that their favorite character was nowhere closer to his rival. To make matters worse, Mihawk may have never felt the need to use it against his foes, and if he felt that his enemy was worthy enough, then he would not refrain from using it.

Fans Are Heartbroken As Zoro Might be a Small-fry In Front of Dracule Mihawk

In the manga and anime series, Dracule Mihawk is showcased as a rival of Red-Haired Shanks. Though both characters are mysterious in their own ways, the confirmation of an even rarer Haki than the 3 types, namely, Observation Haki, Haoshoku Haki, and Busoshoku Haki, is surprising.

To make the situation even worse, the rare form of Haki can be used by two of the most mysterious figures in the Shonen series. As a result, Zoro fans are heartbroken over the surprising revelation, because the fan page explicitly states that “his power far exceeds the 4 Emperors!”

Needless to say, the revelation of a fourth Haki has sent shockwaves among the fans, as they can’t fathom what it can do and when Eiichiro Oda would feel that it’s the right moment to showcase the divine power.
