With the recent teaser trailer for Arcane Season 2, fans finally caught sight of the second and final instalment of the animated series. Despite being nearly 3 years in Development, the series is confirmed for release on Netflix in November of this year. Released yesterday (12 June), the trailer has been viewed by nearly 2 million people and the reaction from fans has been one of both excitement and disappointment.
When Arcane: League of Legends first premiered on Netflix in November 2021, it was extremely well received and was the streaming service’s most popular show for the month. Given the background of the animated series it is of little surprise that it is watched by so many in the gaming community. Following the conclusion of the first season, a second was eagerly anticipated.

Judging by these comments on Social Media it appears that fans think that the final season is going to ruin them emotionally. This only goes to emphasize how well-received the series has been and how much the League of Legends franchise is enjoyed.
The game itself remains one of the biggest, if not the biggest, eSport and its popularity worldwide sees the annual League of Legends World Championship. So perhaps it was a natural progression to see it adapted for the screen and thankfully it was done well, as can be seen from the comments from fans who are desperate to see the second season.
Arcane – The Final Season
Some fans who have watched the trailer believe that there is confirmation of a huge theory and the posts on the official Arcane Social Media page have varying theories on what they expect. What is readily apparent is that fans of this series cannot wait for November to come around.
It remains to be seen what one of the series’ most high-profile fans thinks of the upcoming second and final season. Henry Cavill who has confirmed to love the series and has confessed to bingeing it may also join in the disappointment shared by others in the community.
It’s clear that the Arcane series holds dear to so many fans of the League of Legends franchise and beyond. It is held in high regard by many who describe it as a great screen adaptation of the video game and it is understandable that many will be saddened when the second and final series premieres in November this year.
