Sony’s Spider-Man universe started off the year with a rather lackluster performance with Madame Web. However, one of the strongest franchises is coming back later this year, in October, with Tom Hardy leading the way with Venom: The Last Dance.
While many people are questioning the credibility of SSU right now, Hardy’s Venom 3 co-star June Temple has a different story to tell. In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the British actress talked fondly about Hardy and disclosed
“He’s so excited about telling this story and is so thrilled to have other people be part of it.”
On being asked whether the poor performance of the Dakota Johnson starrer created a sense of tension, the actress replied that she doesn’t think of it in that manner. Further, this is her first experience being in a film of this magnitude, and she hopes to have contributed as much as she can.
No matter how many people saw the film, the Palmer actress continued, hoping it would at least briefly distract them from their daily lives.
Why Tom Hardy is important for the success of the Venom films?
Whether it be the first movie in the franchise or the last, the audience’s obsession with continuing the franchise with the same lead actor is understandable. The same goes for watching Tom Hardy reprise his role as Eddie Brock in the Venom movies, which started all the way back in 2018.
In the 2021 hit Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the actor was not just playing his role as an actor but was also involved in the creative process of the movie.
Together with writer Kelly Marvel, who is reportedly making her directorial debut with Venom 3, the actor is once again leading the creative position. While the actor has been heavily involved in the movie, only time will tell whether the movie will earn accolades at the box office or if it will be another Madame Web disaster.
