It is already known that fans will definitely get a third Venom movie as actor Tom Hardy stated in August 2018 that he had signed on to star in three Venom films. So far, we have got two movies and both of them had a decent box office run. Although the movie is set in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU), it has been hinted in 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage that the franchise might get integrated with Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Sony has announced the third Venom movie’s title: Venom: The Last Dance and as per The Hollywood Reporter, the film will hit the theatres on 25th October 2024. The news quickly went viral on social media and fans joked that they stole the title from Netflix’s miniseries, The Last Dance.

Popular Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider also shared his views on the movie with John Rocha on The Hot Mic podcast. Sneider believes that the film will be a “symbiote mayhem,

“There’s gonna be like multiple symbiotes in this movie right? I just have a feeling this is gonna be symbiote mayhem.”

In the first Venom movie, which was released in 2018, Eddie Brock and Venom battle Riot as he takes over Carlton Drake with the plan to bring back more symbiotes to Earth. The second movie, Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), featured Cletus Kasady who gets infected by Venom’s offspring,  Carnage. Judging by Sneider’s statement, it seems like the next Venom movie could be chaotic if it features all sorts of symbiotes.

During the final battle in the second movie, Frances Barrison seemingly kills police officer Patrick Mulligan by hanging him with a chain. However, fans find out that he is alive and his eyes glow blue. Fans suspect that Mulligan will be the villain in the third Venom film as Carnage comes in contact with him during the battle, making him Toxin, Carnage’s offspring and the third major symbiote in the Marvel Universe.

In 2018, Hardy confirmed that he only signed on to star in three Venom films. However, the mid-credits scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage has hinted that Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU) may collide with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future.

In the scene, Eddie Brock and Venom get teleported from their hotel room to another room where they watch J. Jonah Jameson talking about Spider-Man’s revealed identity as Peter Parker on television, which is MCU’s timeline. So, it’s tough to tell if Venom: The Last Dance will be Hardy’s last movie as the character.
