Venom first appeared in 1988 as an antagonist for Spider-Man. Since his debut in Amazing Spider-Man #298, he has become incredibly popular, leading to a blockbuster movie series with Tom Hardy portraying Venom.

In March 2016, Sony decided to make a new Venom movie. It was meant to be a standalone feature, not connected to the Spider-Man movies from Sony and Marvel Studios.

Rumors suggest that Hardy’s Venom 3 has ties to No Way Home, hinting at a connection to the Spider-Man franchise despite being a separate film series.

The Storyline that Proves Major Connection Between Spider-Man: No Way Home and Upcoming Venom 3

The post-credits scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage hinted at a multiverse crossover. This led to expectations of interaction between Tom Hardy’s Venom and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the MCU.

Despite being unrelated, fans might notice a similarity between the two films, perhaps in relation to the post-credits scenes. Tom Hardy recent Instagram post shows him wearing a familiar outfit he’s worn before.

He’s in the same Golden State Warriors t-shirt and palm tree shirt combination seen in the Venom: Let There Be Carnage post-credits scene. In that scene, Eddie Brock was relaxing on a bed watching TV when Venom brought him into the symbiote world.

After seemingly getting transported elsewhere, the TV switches to showing Spider-Man’s face. Though it’s unclear how they ended up in this other world. Later, this follows Mysterio revealing Peter’s identity in Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), providing the first glimpse of Eddie/Venom settling into the MCU.

After Venom 2, Eddie and Venom hide in the MCU’s Mexico in Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s post-credit scene, continuing their story from Venom‘s second movie.

He’s quickly pulled back to his own universe. However, a piece of the Venom symbiote remains, which points to ongoing connections between the Sony-Marvel Spider-Man universe.

So, The 46-year-old actor wearing the same outfit again suggests Venom 3 follows Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, it’s important to note that Venom 3’s plot details are not yet revealed.

It’s uncertain where Eddie Brock will go in Venom 3, but it’s likely that Spider-Man: No Way Home will play a role in the third flick. There’s no trailer for Venom 3 yet, but fans can expect it soon.

Hardy is the only returning cast that has been confirmed for the third sequel. Joining him are Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who are new to the cast.

Temple from Ted Lasso has joined the cast, but her role is still a mystery. Ejiofor, known for his role as Karl Mordo in Doctor Strange, is also part of Venom 3, but his character remains unknown as well.
