Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 sees Peter Parker / Spider-Man struggling to balance his personal life with his duty as a superhero. In a recent interview with Variety, Yuri Lowenthal, who voices Peter Parker in the game, addressed the game’s ambiguous ending and what it means for his character’s future.

“While I think that Peter would love to believe that he can just turn it off and not be Spider-Man anymore and live a completely normal life, I don’t think that’s what’s going to happen now.”

Lowenthal made the above statement, hinting that Peter is bound to return for future games. While a third installment in the series is yet to be formally announced, it has been rumored to be in development. Lowenthal seemingly confirmed plans for the next game by stating the following:

“I don’t know — I haven’t read a script yet. They’re probably still working on it. But I don’t think that’s the last we’re gonna see Peter.”

Lowenthal’s words strongly suggest that Peter Parker is not yet ready to hang up his suit and pass on the mantle to Miles Morales. As a result, the OG Spider-Man is highly likely to feature in a prospective Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, which is reportedly being developed by Insomniac.

Lowenthal made the above statement expressing how much he enjoyed collaborating with his wife for the second installment of the popular game series.

At the same time, Lowenthal also revealed that he enjoyed playing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with his son. Lowenthal admitted that he did not get to play much as his son finished most of the gameplay. Nonetheless, the duo had a great time bonding over the first and second games.
