Hajime Isayama carefully constructed his journey from being a scared little boy to a Survey Corps member and eventually becoming the kind of person he hated.

Eren Would Have Led a Rotten Life Without the Survey Corps
Hajime Isayama is extremely brutal about his statement regarding Eren. According to him, had he not joined the Survey Corps:
I think Eren would have had a rotten life.
The author explained that he thinks Eren would have had an extremely unfulfilling life. Especially since he was confined in Paradis, he would have just continued to be oppressed. He could have also possibly been killed a long time ago as a victim of the frequent attacks.
Another alternative is that since he lived in Paradis for so long, he would have made no contact with the Founding Titan and thus never interacted to become aware of everything: the past, future, and present.
If Eren never transformed into a Titan, then he could have lived only for a few more years without dying. However, that would not make a great story and the series has already proved.
Thus, Isayama summarized the situation by saying that Eren would have had the most boring yet challenging life had he not joined the Survey Corps.
Hajime Isayama Discusses the Language that Inspired Attack on Titan
According to Hajime Isayama, the characters in Attack on Titan mostly talk with the help of a universal language. This is just how English is preferred as the language of choice in the real world.
Isayama constructed the language so that people would know that external factors also helped influence it. English is popular in most countries because they were once under colonial rule when their nation had to bow to the demands of the colonialists.
The strongest language would become the universal language in that world.
By this, Hajime Isayama meant that only the strongest nations with complete monopoly of the world would be able to transfer their languages. Given that Britain had an iron grip on the world, English is more commonly spoken by everyone.
In the series, Paradisians and Marleyans all speak in more or less the same language, despite the differences that had grown in the past.
The author also talked about removing Eren from the narrative at one point. The mangaka disclosed that he had always wanted to do something similar and switch to the perspective of the enemy’s side.
