Developed by Shift Up, Stellar Blade is a satisfying and thrilling action-adventure title. The game offers a detailed world for players to explore in a third-person setting, which takes direct inspiration from popular franchises such as Horizon Zero Dawn and Star Wars Jedi. The developers have been working incredibly hard to deliver post-launch content and have finally added one of the most requested features by fans.
The developers have refreshed Stellar Blade with a brand-new mode called “Boss Challenge,” which aims to transform the gameplay completely. In this game mode, players can cut straight to the chase and face off against 19 different bosses from Stellar Blade.
Stellar Blade Update 1.0003 Adds Boss Challenge Mode
A new patch update was added to Stellar Blade on 24th May, which includes many new challenges, suits, improved features, and, most importantly, the brand-new game mode dubbed “Boss Challenge.”
The new game mode pits players against the 19 bosses from the game, with the task of eliminating them. When beginning the Boss Challenge, players can use their own gear or choose from several preset collections. Players can even choose to go light for a more difficult challenge or equip themselves with multiple tools if they struggle.
Once Boss Challenge is complete and battle data is analyzed, metrics will be available for players, such as the total battle time, the number of parries, and more. This system is designed to act like a leaderboard, allowing players to compare their in-game stats with other players. After you’ve successfully completed a full run-through of this game mode, you’ll be rewarded with a new Nerolink Suit for Eve.
Alongside new suits, the update also brought tons of quality-of-life improvements for the game, with a significant upgrade for Stellar Blade‘s combat system. Now, when changing between ranged attacks while locked to your opponent, you will automatically get a lock on the enemy again.
When Will Stellar Blade Be Released on PC?
Over the years, we’ve seen several PlayStation games making their way to PC, including major titles such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Ghost of Tsushima, and Horizon Forbidden West. Given Sony’s recent track record and release pattern, it’s safe to assume that Stellar Blade will eventually come to PC.
Considering the fact that Stellar Blade is a second-party game that’s developed by Shift Up, and published by Sony, it’s likely that the game will launch on PC in late 2025, or early 2025. However, Sony still has some major-first party titles such as The Last of Us Part 2, and God of War Ragnaork missing from the PC, which will mostly likely be released before Stellar Blade makes it to the platform.
