Manny Jacinto portrayed the character on screen, and in one of his interviews, he shared Qimir’s unique role in the show.
Many fans believed he was a Sith from the start, and the evidence just kept piling up as the series progressed. However, a new theory has been formed after a scene that seemingly sounded familiar to fans.
Fans Noticed A Similarity In The Scenes Featuring Qimir And Kylo Ren
On Twitter, a fan account that goes by the name Vader’s Order noticed a similar theme song used in a scene from The Acolyte with Manny Jacinto’s Qimir in it. If you listen to it, you will hear the same soundtrack used in a scene with Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren.

Many fans speculated in the comments that Qimir might be related to the Knights of Ren. They are an enclave of masked warriors who wield distinctive weapons both for ranged and close-quarters fight. They are known as elite and daunting enforcers of Kylo Ren’s wishes.
These knights come from the unknown regions of the galaxy and they have a reputation that has inspired many urban tales about the dangers of exploring uncharted spaces. Now, fans are starting to think Qimir is not really a Sith but he may be a knight of this sinister group. Here are some of the theories fans have shared on Twitter:

There are still a couple of episodes left in The Acolyte that will address and reveal the truth about Qimir’s real identity. It’s quite surprising to see that the spinoff series weaves a connection with the main Star Wars movies, proving just how vast the universe of this franchise is.
If Qimir is actually a part of the Knights of Ren, this warrants more episodes to dive into that story, teasing a possible Season 2. In fact, Star Wars producer Rayne Roberts told SFX Magazine, “We’ve got to get back into the writers’ room for season 2 to see where we’re at,” before claiming they already have some initial ideas about what they want to explore.
Manny Jacinto Talks About Playing Qimir In The Acolyte
Manny Jacinto spoke with Esquire and shared what he loves about playing Qimir and what sets him apart from the rest of the characters. The actor believes that the greatest thing about him is that he isn’t practically a Jedi.
He mentioned the names of Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, and the Mandalorian being characters who form their own path. “They’re not really about the light side or the dark side. I think those are characters that become fan favorites, you know, because they’re unique and different,” he explained.
The Good Place actor says the same about Qimir. His mysterious identity in The Acolyte makes the show even more thrilling to watch. Hopefully, the next episodes will reveal his true relationship with Kylo Ren or the Knights of Ren.
