Intoxicated, there’s a lustful nature that I failed to mention/Insecurities that I project, sleepin’ with other women/Whitney’s hurt, the pure soul I know, I found her in the kitchen/Askin’ God, ‘Where did I lose myself? And can it be forgiven?’” Lamar revealed revealed in the lyric.
The song was an ode to confessing the insecurities and the revelation of the deepest fear. But faith has kept his family binding. Lamar also explained that he has been sober and candidly reflecting on moving away from any form of intoxicating substances including a puff of smoke or a sip of an alcoholic drink.
