Drake dropped his diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar and a bunch of others on social media on Saturday. The American rapper later unofficially confirmed the track’s legitimacy and announced its title as Push Ups. The track fires several shots at Lamar, mocking his physical appearance and the quality of his songs. Interestingly, Lamar appears to have a response diss track ready for Drake and he has been holding onto it for four long years.
The back-and-forth diss track drama kicked off when Lamar responded to J. Cole’s First Person Shooter, in which he referred to himself, Lamar, and Drake as the “big three.” Lamar dissed both Cole and Drake in an uncredited verse in Metro Boomin and Future’s Like That.
Kendrick Lamar Is Ready With A Diss Track For Drake That He Planned For 4 Years
A four-minute track, titled Push Ups, dropped on social media in the early hours of Saturday. It was Drake‘s response to Kendrick Lamar‘s diss track about him and J. Cole. The rapper later posted a photo of Uma Thurman from Kill Bill on his Instagram, indicating that he was out for revenge.
The Rich Baby Daddy singer is not apologetic like Cole, who regretted releasing the response record, 7 Minute Drill. However, he better be prepared as NFR Podcast shared on X that Lamar has been vaulting a diss track against Drake for four long years. The information about the diss track apparently comes from DJ Akademiks.

Fans on X shared that they had never seen this level of hating in rap before. Many fans were just mind-blown about Lamar working on a diss track for four years. One fan commented that American rap was getting really interesting these days.
Another commented that Lamar let the diss track age like fine wine and that it was going to be devastating for Drake. One comment also mentioned that Lamar was going to destroy Drake verbally, mentally, and spiritually with the track. Some of the fan reactions read:

You brought this upon yourself drake, I liked Drake as an artist… it’s going to hurt to see Kendrick Verbally, mentally and spiritually exile him.

In the conclusion of his diss track, Drake shared that what he mentioned in the new song was not even everything he knew about Lamar. His lyrics read, “This ain’t even everything I know / Don’t wake the demon up.” It appears that if Lamar releases his long-planned diss track, Drake is definitely going to retaliate.
Drake Destroys Kendrick Lamar In The Latest Diss Track Push Ups
Drake’s song did not hold back on anything as it took direct jabs at Lamar. The One Dance singer first mocked Lamar’s last album, sharing that it “bricked” and that the record label came up with excuses to still keep him under contract. He added that they should have pulled Lamar’s contract after the failure. The lyrics read (via Hot97.com):
“Your last one bricked, you really not on sh*t / They make excuses for you ’cause they hate to see me lit / Pull your contract ’cause we gotta see the split […] Like your label, boy, you in the scope right now / And you gon’ feel the aftermath of what I write down / I’m at the top of the mountain, so you tight now.”
Drake further mocked Lamar’s guest appearances on the tracks of other mainstream pop stars. The God’s Plan singer’s lines read, “Maroon 5 need a verse, you better make it witty / Then we need a verse for the Swifties / Top say drop, you better drop and give him 50.” He also responded to Lamar’s mocking of J. Cole’s lyrics about the “big three”, sharing, “You ain’t in no big three.”
Drake’s track was not only aimed at Lamar. He also shot disses at Rick Ross, Metro Boomin’, Future, The Weeknd, J. Cole, and Memphis Grizzles basketball star Ja Morant.
