Andrew Garfield is the second actor to portray the iconic web-slinger in live-action but had the shortest run which was unfortunate. The fans always wanted a third Amazing Spider-Man film, and this brand new mod for Marvel’s Spider-Man is the perfect alternative.
The actor’s endearing performance captured the hearts of the fans and campaigned to give Garfield another chance. Unfortunately, it may not happen but the gaming community will not let the dream die and give him the third outing he deserves.
Andrew Garfield Is Honored in a New Marvel’s Spider-Man Mod
The actor’s journey for portraying the hero was cut short but was given a second chance through a supporting role in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: No Way Home. All three live-action Spider-Men actors shared the screen for the first time but it is not the same as being the lead. Insomniac Games managed to create an original Spider-Man story and one fan thought it would be perfect to replace the face model with Garfield’s.

Yuri Lowenthal has built an impressive reputation with his roles in video games and did an exceptional job with all of Marvel’s Spider-Man games but Garfield’s brief run as the hero made a new generation of fans fall in love with the character.

The developers took their sweet time to give the gaming community the fan-favorite suit from Garfield’s second outing as an unlockable cosmetic item. However, one modder went above and beyond by replacing the face model and the results were simply amazing.
It is spectacular to see the talent and creativity of the gaming community and once they realize Sony will not give the actor his well-earned shot at redemption, perhaps this mod will convince the company to give him the closure he deserves.
Andrew Garfield Is the People’s Definitive Version of Spider-Man
Insomniac Games was working on a multiplayer project called Spider-Man: The Great Web which would have tackled the multiverse, unfortunately, it was canceled. This game could have tackled a famous Marvel Comic storyline known as Secret Wars which is the storyline for the sixth live-action Avengers film and there is a slim chance for Garfield to reprise his role as a variant.
There is no telling what the future holds and Sony might cave in and revisit the Amazing Spider-Man franchise and give the actor the treatment he deserves. There is more than enough room for one web-slinger and the multiverse continues to unravel and will be the connective thread to bridge various dimensions and universes.
Insomniac Games was able to deliver an authentic Spider-Man experience better than most and filmmakers should take notes for their next attempt in making another live-action film. The efforts of the gaming community are a testament to Garfield’s skill and charisma that established him as the fan-favorite actor.
The developers were once caught in a web of controversy about giving Peter a facelift but the backlash would not have been as severe if Insomniac opted to go for a much more familiar face like Garfield.
