Being one of the greatest superhit shows of all time, The Boys continues to leave fans absolutely baffled with each new season. While the incredible storyline is one thing that has fans immersed knee-deep into the series, what further seems to catch them off guard is the actors’ transformations. And the latest one catching all the fan attention in season 4 is Laz Alonso.
After they saw the actor in the exclusively ongoing season of the series, fans couldn’t help but express concern over Alonso. The reason behind this was simple: He underwent some unbelievably extreme weight loss this season; one that has fans finding it incredibly hard to digest without worrying if something could be wrong with him. But surprisingly, he isn’t the only one in this race.
Laz Alonso in The Boys S4 has Fans Concerned with Disbelief
Recently, the first three episodes of The Boys season 4 hit the screens with all its might, perfectly leaving viewers in a daze. This is because while fans did expect some surprises, they weren’t exactly ready to see Laz Alonso, the actor who plays Mother’s Milk in the series, appear after such a tremendous transformation.
For those who may not have seen the series yet, Alonso has lost quite a lot of weight and definitely looks considerably less bulky than he used to. But that’s not the only thing that changed that had fans failing to recognize him. Adding further to this transformation fire was his iconic beard, which has, somehow, disappeared now.
Though it might seem unbelievable, the actor that fans saw playing MM in the series is actually Alonso himself, and the only thing that has changed is his weight and signature beard. The reason behind this is that he seemingly got a bit too “carried away” with stuff that his “body doesn’t need,” as he explained via his Instagram handle (@lazofficial).
Nonetheless, fans couldn’t help but express how they couldn’t recognize that it was indeed him and even thought that the character was, perhaps, recast. Here’s how they have been reacting to the same on X:

As all of these fan reactions already point out, it has truly become challenging to believe that the iconic Mother’s Milk character has actually not been replaced. But while that’s that, there’s something else, and equally surprising (if not more), about one actor from the series that has fans confused to the core: Erin Moriarty‘s facial transformation.
Erin Moriarty from The Boys is Also Leaving Fans Baffled
While Alonso is one, he isn’t the only one to leave fans perplexed. Besides him, Moriarty has also been under major scrutiny after allegations from Megyn Kelly about her having undergone plastic surgery, which came earlier this year after the notable facial transformation that the Starlight portrayer went through.
However, as Moriarty herself explained, that was hardly the case and was nothing more than straight-up harassment and fake news. Moreover, her undergoing such notable facial change could be attributed to “weight loss and even aging” combined with “different makeup techniques and lighting,” as Vanity Cosmetic Surgery Hospital pointed out.
All of this had fans concerned about her as well. But considering how she has cleared the air about it all, she isn’t so much under speculation anymore (besides the fans complaining about how she looks in season 4). That said, the current cause of worry is Alonso, whom fans are seriously hoping only lost his weight to grow healthy and not due to something serious.
