Another X-Men star has just confirmed his Marvel return as he is set to appear in Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman-led most anticipated Marvel movie of the year, Deadpool & Wolverine. Ray Park who played Toad in the 2000 movie X-Men, is set to reprise his role in the upcoming threequel.

Set photos from Deadpool & Wolverine previously revealed Toad as a member of Cassandra Nova’s Void army. However, it was hard to say for certain until now. Recently, the actor revealed that he will indeed appear in the movie in a cameo. “I am [in Deadpool & Wolverine] lol must have kidnapped me in my sleep lol,” the actor commented on a fan’s query on Instagram (via Cosmic Marvel).

Darth Maul star Ray Park was a member of Magneto’s Brotherhood in the original X-Men movie. He was killed off by Storm after being electrocuted with a lightning bolt. Thanks to director Shawn Levy and lead star Reynolds, Deadpool & Wolverine will witness an ocean of Marvel characters. The trailer has already confirmed the appearances of several stars including putting an end to the speculation while confirming Emma Corrin to be playing the role of X-Men supervillain, Cassandra Nova.

Deadpool & Wolverine Is Not Deadpool 3

If you are expecting Deadpool & Wolverine to be a mere Deadpool 3 movie, you are in for a huge surprise. Director Levy did not intend the movie to be just another sequel continuing the Deadpool narrative with Reynolds, despite the immense success of the previous two movies to its credit. “As far as crafting the Deadpool and Wolverine story, I just felt privileged every day because you’re talking about two massive movie stars in their most iconic roles,” Levy told ScreenRant during CinemaCon explaining the essence of his motif.

“It also gave me an opportunity. It’s the third Deadpool movie, but it’s not Deadpool 3. It’s a different thing that’s very much Deadpool and Wolverine. And it’s not trying to copycat anything from the first two movies. They were awesome, but this is a two-hander character adventure.”

Of course, it was definitely a huge deal bringing Wolverine actor Jackman on board to play the title character alongside Reynolds despite his character’s death in Logan which many presumed was the end of the glorious tenure of the Australian star. Regardless, Deadpool & Wolverine is all set to awestruck fans with the madness and rated R visuals.

Deadpool & Wolverine will hit the theaters on July 26.
