Helldivers 2 has already become an emotion for gamers since it was released. Nexon’s The First Descendant is here to do the same, it seems. While it has just been released, the player count is already going off the charts, according to the available data.

The game is a looter shooter where players will be fighting for humanity, just like the Arrowhead’s game is centered around the fight for democracy. Interestingly, the game will have these giant bosses that players will confront during the gameplay.

When Arrowhead’s game was released, no one expected it to climb up the charts until they actually played it. Then they realized what they had gotten themselves into, and that was something they didn’t want to get out of. The game too appears to be a high-octane adventure like Helldivers 2.

And it is evident from the rising number of players playing the game. Data aggregator SteamDB shows that 172K concurrent players are in there enjoying the looter shooter. Not just that, the game is trending at number 6 at the time of writing.

Just like Arrowhead’s game, the game is already having the server issues upon launch. Users on the social network Reddit are already sharing their experiences with the game.

However, that’s not likely to cause backlash as players appears to be chilled out. A user called Greeny11 shares the experience with laughing emoji, saying that there was an issue connecting with the server.

Another user dubbed 8bitsince86 appears to be lucky as he was able to enter the game after waiting.

Hope these issues will be resolved soon, just like they did for the Arrowhead’s game.

Despite the game being met with mixed reviews, players are still eager to jump on the bandwagon. That’s the power of a free game and passionate gaming community.

But some are comparing it with other games and it isn’t exactly in a positive light.

As of now, 1,841 reviews by users have been given to the game on Steam out of which, 992 remain positive. Maybe if the server issues have been resolved, it may pave a path for more positive reviews in there.

Moreover, some players came across glitches persisting with the in-game currency called Caliber. Amount’s deducted upon the purchase but it’s not reflected in the game. Players are advised to wait for it.

Now as the game’s live, it would be worthwhile if it can actually beat Helldivers 2 in the days to come.
