When Nicki Minaj visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in December 2023, she was asked by the host to choose between a window seat and an aisle seat in an airplane. The Anaconda fame replied that she would always choose the window seat.

Although Stephen Colbert got his answer, the host made a grave mistake when he stated to Minaj that aisle seats are more useful as we don’t have to “crawl across people” while going to the bathroom. Nicki Minaj rocked the stage and raised a huge cheer from fans as she replied with style: “I don’t fly in those kinds of planes, I’m just kidding”.

Nicki Minaj has always been popular for her outspoken views on several matters. Even though she has occasionally found herself amidst controversy due to her words, the Grammy-nominated singer never hesitates to give surprising comebacks. As an Instagram page @rapsmogul posted the clip featuring Minaj’s window seat reply, another user @duati_darkmoon commented:

Tell me you’re rich without telling me you’re rich

The fan is not wrong as the 9-times American Music Awards winner has a present net worth of $150 million (via Celebrity Net Worth). Besides that, her latest Pink Friday 2 World Tour also made headlines for being the highest-grossing concert tour by a female rapper.

While one may think that the Colbert Questionert segment was the most interesting section from Nicki Minaj and Stephen Colbert’s conversation, the rap battle was also a major highlight. The audience went crazy as the singer changed the lyrics of her fan-favorite song FTCU (F-ck This Club Up) and presented another version dedicated to the host.

The show reached an exciting moment as the Trinidad and Tobago-born singer rapped “High heels on for Stevie / If I marry Stevie he ain’t never gon’ leave me”. Surprisingly, Stephen Colbert rapped back “High heels or not, Nicki / You better hope you never meet my wife Evie”.

Stephen Colbert and Nicki Minaj’s reunion made it evident that the chemistry shared between the two is still the same as it was 5 years before. Not only the “Barbz” but even other entertainment enthusiasts enjoyed their bond and wished to see more of them in the future.
