“We have a black and Puerto Rican Spider-Man who learned how to be Spider-Man from Peter Parker,” he said before adding, “I think that was a really important key to it all.” The actor further noted that it was crucial to ensure the authenticity and longevity of the character.
He then recalled seeing his co-star, Hailee Steinfeld’s young relative donning a Spider-Man suit and telling everyone to call him “Miles,” instead of Spider-Man. Moore underscored the profound impact of this moment, emphasizing that the resonance of Miles Morales transcends superficial labels of race or ethnicity.

Moore further shared that Beyond the Spider-Verse will continue Miles’ epic adventure, with the action-packed energy and emotional depth that resonated with audiences in the previous film. Moore told the outlet,
“You can expect everything [laughs] you’re expecting the continuation from the second one. You can expect to see The Spot; you can expect some action-packed energy and some dilemmas and problems to solve.”
Across the Spider-Verse ended with Miles finding himself in a universe where his alternate self had turned into the villainous Prowler, after being chased by Miguel O’Hara and the Spider Society as he attempted to prevent his father’s predetermined death, all while The Spot plans to wreak havoc across the multiverse.
