Eh, massive downgrade. Funny how he looks nothing like the concept art or poster, aside from a little scarring.
Tells us to expect disappointment for designs of other characters going forward, which isn’t a good sign for the longevity of these films lol pic.twitter.com/4OQryWLAZO

Looks like not many are impressed with the disfigured version of their beloved character in the Twisted Childhood Universe. The slasher version is currently being filmed in the U.K. with an expected release in theatres this Halloween.
The cast also stars Megan Placito, Peter Desouza-Feighoney, Kit Green, Martin Portlock, Nicholas Woodeson, Kierston Wareing, Olumide Olorunfemi, Teresa Banham, Charity Kase, and Campbell Wallace.
While it’s still too soon to make any opinion regarding the film, the TCU continues to expand with new projects including this one. The franchise’s first installment, garnered a negative reception from the audience, leading the director to improve its quality in the upcoming films.

The upcoming movie is not the only one that faces polarized opinions from audiences as the 2023 movie was heavily panned. Many even considered it one of the worst films of all time, leading it to get 5 Razzie nods, including one in the Worst Picture category.
Earning a 3% Rotten Tomatoes score, the movie surely stands out, leading the director to address the same. As per SFX magazine via Games Radar, he expressed that the low score was a “really strange one for me.“ He got candid about how he coped with the negative remarks stating,
“To be honest, you’ve got to have a really, really thick skin to be a filmmaker because you get heavily, heavily criticized regardless of the means and the resources you have.”
The filmmaker further explained what could have been the reasoning behind such a low score.
“When your film is out there like that, it literally gets directly compared to Marvel films, even though you’re on 0.01% of their budget. We probably didn’t have their catering budget! They’re substantially different. But because of the scale Winnie went to, a lot of the critics did almost like-for-like comparisons.”
Despite the outcome, the film ended up becoming a financial success, surging past $5 million worldwide via the Numbers. Its sequel, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 was an improvement over its predecessor which was released in March this year whereas a third installment is currently in the works.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is currently streaming on Peacock.
