There are so many MCU theories that currently circulate the internet as to how the rebooted Fantastic Four will fit into the Avengers saga. After all, the franchise is all about multiverses, and Kang the Conqueror’s history is naturally linked to the First Family.
Kang’s first variant, Pharaoh Rama-Tut, is considered the deadliest of all variants. He appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’s post-credits scene, so it is safe to assume that fans will see him again very soon.
Kang The Conqueror Variant Rama-Tut Can Possibly Become Fantastic Four Villain
Kang the Conqueror’s reputation as the Avengers’ greatest villain has often pushed the Fantastic Four to the side. Fans may very well remember that the famed antagonist was an early villain of both franchises, but Kang’s ties to the Fantastic Four predate that of the Avengers.
In the 1963 Fantastic Four #19 issue, Rama-Tut was described as a time traveler who conquered Ancient Egypt and became its ruler. Then, a 1970s retcon confirmed that this villain called Rama-Tut was actually Kang the Conqueror.
The Rama-Tut variant was revealed as a phase in Kang’s journey, and during this time he met the Fantastic Four. Because he was bored of ruling Ancient Egypt, Rama-Tut decided to pick a fight with Reed Richards and his team, who were considered superstars of the time.
With everything he knew about the Fantastic Four, Rama-Tut embedded a hieroglyph that caught the team’s attention, succeeding in his plan to bring the group and the fight to Ancient Egypt. Fortunately, the pharaoh was defeated.
Ant-Man 3 Post-Credits Scene Teased Rama-Tut Variant’s Debut In The MCU
With the surprising post-credits scene from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania showing the Council of Kangs, there is a high chance that Rama-Tut would actually show up in Fantastic Four. In fact, they were strategically chosen because they serve noble arcs in the comics.
Marvel Studios producer Stephen Broussard spoke with Collider and talked about that post-credits scene in Ant-Man 3:
“It seems that anything is on the table. We’ve seen radically different versions of this character, where does it go next? It could go in so many places, and the unknown of that is exciting. Far be it for me to tell the kind of film for Destin [Daniel Cretton] to make, and for my colleagues to make, [it] is in good hands with that stuff. But just the notion of so much possibility being on the table is exciting.”
Director Peyton Reed also praised Jonathan Majors for his incredible portrayal of the Council of Kangs. Reed admitted it was such a “technical nightmare,” but Majors did a fantastic job at giving each of the characters their own individuality via Entertainment Tonight:
“It’s a technical nightmare. It only works if you have actors like Paul and Jonathan who can really, you know, get specific with each of those individual characters and their responses. And so, that was fun.”
The post-credits scene highly suggests that Rama-Tut will make an appearance in the future, and there is always the possibility of him becoming the main villain in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.
