The Marvel Cinematic Universe has changed after Alaqua Cox appeared in the role of Maya Lopez in the 2024 series Echo. Portraying the role of an Indigenous deaf woman trying to find her roots while the actress herself is deaf and an amputee, the world was proud of the notable feat by Alaqua Cox and the MCU.

With the fame that the MCU series has received, there are other superheroes like Echo in the Marvel Comics. Much like Echo, these superheroes could also make an appearance in the MCU and potentially have their own miniseries in the future as well!

1) Spider-Woman

With the upcoming release of Madame Web, it feels that it is high time that Spider-Woman be introduced in the realm of the MCU. Jessica Drew is a former HYDRA agent who decided to join the good side and become an Avenger.

The character of Spider-Woman has all the abilities of Spider-Man and could very well make an entrance after Madame Web. Being a street-level hero, the character would indeed bring a renewed interest in the world of Spider-Man and would be just enough different to not get the audience bored.

2) Paladin

Paladin is the equivalent of Deadpool but on a much lower scale. Being a mercenary with his hands on some advanced technology, Paladin is more of an anti-hero rather than a villain or a hero. Similar to Deadpool, Paladin shares his traits of being a street-level hero who kills people for a living but his identity remains a mystery in the comic books!

The character could easily make an appearance in any MCU series by simply having a contract on an important character. Marvel Studios could then change the POV to Paladin’s character rather than what the series was about and continue to show his story!

3) Power Man

Power Man is indeed an important character in the Marvel Comics but a similar iteration has already been presented into the MCU. Getting his powers from Chi Energy, Power Man shares a similar trait to Luke Cage’s Iron Fist.

According to theories, Shang-Chi 2 would be a good movie to introduce the character of Power Man. With a similar concept of the ten rings and Wong announcing a meeting, Power Man could very well make an appearance in the MCU through the Shang-Chi sequel.

4) Tigra

Greer Tigra started out as a crime-fighting street-level hero in Marvel Comics and was earlier known as the Cat. She gets mystically transformed into Tigra and becomes the champion of the Cat People.

With the DC Comics having their Catwoman and Cheetah, it seems the right time to introduce Tigra. With series like Hawkeye and Echo getting recognition, the MCU could easily fit Tigra in between and it would also add one more Avenger to their roaster of superheroes!

5) Night Thrasher

The tale of Night Thrasher will sound really similar to a certain character from DC Comics. Losing both of his parents at a young age, Dwayne Taylor is a billionaire who stops crime at night in a suit and calls himself the Night Thrasher.

With the character being eerily similar to someone from the DC Comics and the DCEU, it seems a good time to introduce the Night Thrasher into the MCU. Fighting crime at the street level, Night Thrasher could team up with Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again and provide Matt Murdock with the technology that he needs!

Although these are just theories, fans would indeed love to see the MCU take a deep dive into these characters who are relatively less popular. As for the recently released MCU series, Alaqua Cox’s Echo received a rating of 6.1/10 on IMDB and a strong rating of 74% on Rotten Tomatoes. The 2024 series is available to stream on Disney+ in the U.S.
