The 75th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards has finally arrived, following a postponement caused by the historic WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes of last year. HBO dominated the Emmy nominations once again, with Succession garnering the most votes. With 27 nominations and six wins, including best writing in a drama for show creator Jesse Armstrong, the program topped the field of nominees at this year’s Emmys.

With three nominations for Best Actor in a Dramatic Series, the HBO drama series broke records at the Emmy Awards, as fans of the show are already aware. Brian Cox played media tycoon Logan Roy (2018–2023) in Succession, for which he was nominated for an Emmy as lead actor in drama. However,  Kieran Culkin, his on-screen son, took home the prize for his portrayal of Roman Roy.
