Apart from being one of the remaining Hollywood stars who holds the ability to sell a movie by their name alone, Tom Cruise also seems to comprise exquisite taste when it comes to watches. Even though Cruise’s watch collection has mostly been overshadowed by his other massive achievements in the realms of Hollywood, that hasn’t stopped the actor from expanding his collection.
And it seems that among all the luxurious timepieces that the Mission: Impossible star possesses, the clear standout among them is the Vacheron Constantin Swiss, which is one of its kind.
Tom Cruise’s watch collection involves one of the thinnest timepieces ever made
Following Tom Cruise‘s grand entrance at the 75th Cannes Festival, where the Top Gun: Maverick star was the clear attraction of the whole event, fans were able to notice Cruise’s great taste in watches. The actor was spotted wearing a Vacheron Constantin Swiss Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin with a blue dial, which is just 4.05 millimeters thick and is one of the thinnest timepieces on the market. Apart from being the thinnest, the Vacheron Constantin is also one of the most expensive additions to Cruise’s collection, costing around $102k.
However, the actor’s watch collection isn’t just limited to this one luxurious timepiece and involves a Rolex Sky-Dweller, a Rolex GMT-Master II ‘Pepsi’, a Porsche Design Chronograph, and many more. But despite the quality of the timepiece, it wasn’t able to hold everyone’s attention at the film festival for long, as the actor would break into tears after receiving immense appreciation from the crowd.
Tom Cruise was overwhelmed by the appreciation at the 75th Cannes Film Festival
Even though Tom Cruise has garnered his fair share of accolades over the years, receiving the prestigious Palme d’Or award at the 75th films festival brought the actor to the verge of tears. Apart from earning the honorary award for his unmatchable contribution to cinema, his Top Gun: Maverick would also go on to receive a six-minute standing ovation for its brilliance. The Mission: Impossible star would later be overwhelmed after the response, as he expressed his happiness by stating,
“This movie was a dream. We talked about it when filming. I just want to see everyone’s faces. There are no masks and we’re in a movie theatre. I’m going to take this all in and I feel very grateful. We’re here for you. I make all these movies for all of you and I’m very blessed to do what I do. Enjoy this evening. You all have made my life”
Despite being 60, Tom Cruise doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon, with his practice of adding more exceptional timepieces to his Watch collection and movies to his filmography in the upcoming time.
Top Gun: Maverick is available to stream on Apple TV.
