Arnold Schwarzenegger Was Not Having It With His Part

Both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone have been in the industry for many decades and have completely dominated their way through Hollywood with their consecutive blockbusters. Their constant action-packed thriller movies are a joy to watch and fans were completely divided between them. Though for a time it seemed like the two actors were having a healthy competition, it was in no way healthy, rather they took it up a notch and went as far as to sabotage each other’s career. But their rivalry died down with time and the two of them grew close and are currently best of friends and even starred in many movies together.

“You know, I think the first and second one were terrific. But, the third one, I thought my part was not written well. I didn’t believe that I had any value in the movie. I love the franchise, by the way. I think it’s a spectacular franchise. I think that Sly has good ideas, what he wants to do with it, and I think if they write a really good script in which my part is very well-developed, I would do it. If not, then I won’t do it.”

Schwarzenegger and Stallone teamed up to make a blockbuster franchise, The Expendables, which took fans by complete surprise and people were extremely excited about the movies. The movies were extremely good and were packed with action scenes; taking into consideration the budget for these projects, they were a success at the box office. But despite these results, the Terminator actor had to step back from the franchise due to his poorly written character, and as a result, he rejected to reprise his role for the fourth installment of the franchise as explained by the man himself during an interview with Vanity Fair.
