Arnold Schwarzenegger recently released his three-part Netflix documentary titled Arnold, and in each episode, he recounts different aspects of his personal and professional career. The actor reveals how he began his career, what inspired him to become a better star, and how his father had a rigorous way of disciplining him.

The Austria-native actor claimed that as he grew older, he became aware that something was wrong in his childhood claiming, 

“As I was getting older, and the more I read stuff; about the outside world, outside of Austria, the more I started feeling like, I don’t think that I was, brought up in the right place, there is something off here. Maybe I don’t belong to Austria, or maybe I belong to America; Why is that? and this would convince me that one day I have to be over there. I am in the wrong place; I gotta get out of here.”

In the first episode of his highly anticipated docuseries, Schwarzenegger also claims that when his mother saw his wall, which contained oiled-up posters of bulky bodybuilders, she wondered whether her son was gay.

In the first episode of Arnold, Arnold Schwarzenegger recalls that when he was a teen, he was obsessed with famed bodybuilder Reg Park, so much so that he used to buy American muscle magazines.

The Terminator actor said,

“I was so amazed by this body, I just could not get it out of my mind. The testosterone was kicking in, getting interested in girls was kicking in, everything started happening.”

The actor added that in his room, above his bedroom wall, he had big posters of Park and other bodybuilding legends, and his mom initially thought upon seeing the wall that maybe her son was gay.

“My mother got freaked out. She said all his friends have girls above their beds. My son doesn’t have one girl up here. Look at that. It’s only n*ked men, oiled-up. Where did we go wrong?”
