The recent One Piece Live Action series has been a significant hit amongst the audience, and redefined the history of live-action adaptations, as many have failed to pull off what Netflix has done with the recent series.
And while the studios have tried their best to stick to the source material, it seems like they might have tried to hide a secret power of Shanks that only a few fans have come to notice ever since the character was introduced.
What Is Shank’s Secret Power That Only A Few Fans Of One Piece Know About?
It has been quite some time now that the fandom of the One Piece franchise has been speculating how Luffy’s guardian angel might have an overpowered ability that Eiichiro Oda has been hinting towards for years now.
What essentially is being talked about here is the fact that Shanks just might have the ability to look into the future. This is not to be compared with that of Katakuri’s as it is believed Shanks can look months and years ahead of the present time.
While the theory might seem a little insane at first, we would never know if that is the case as when it comes to the writing of Eiichiro Oda, no one knows what is going to come next.
Evidence Suggesting Shanks Has Future Foreseeing Abilities
While it has not exactly been revealed directly to the viewers, there are many reasons to believe why Shanks might have been gifted this power by the creator.
The first evidence comes from the very chronological beginning of the series. We are talking about the time Shanks chose to sacrifice his left arm to save Luffy from a sea monster. Many believe Shanks chose to take this path of action because he had an insight into what Luffy was going to become in the coming years.
It is also believed by the fans that the red-haired pirate intentionally let Luffy eat the Gomu Gomu no Mi devil fruit because he knew about the truth of the devil fruit, helping shape the One Piece series as we know it today.
If the above theory is proven to be right in the future, it will answer a lot of questions and plot holes that the story has right now, and might just open up a lot more of them than before.
