When it comes to theories in Genshin Impact, there is a boatload of them. Some have been proven right while others are yet to be confirmed. Some have been hinted at and some debunked by HoYoverse and the game. Whether it is a theory regarding the Archons or that of Khaenri’ah, there is an endless range of opinions that brings the community either further away from the truth or closer to it.
One such theory is that of the skies of Teyvat being fake. Although it is not just a theory, there have been various interpretations of the same. The entire land of Teyvat is one filled with beauty, but this beauty masks secrets darker than early-game players can ever imagine.

The Fake Skies of Teyvat
The skies of Teyvat were rumored to be fake from the very start of the game. However, the confirmation of the same began happening after the Version 1.1 Unreconciled Stars event. That was when Scaramouche first appeared in the game, although he was playable much later. This is the first time players get any sort of confirmation about this theory. However, it is never touched upon again. That is until Dottore and Nahida begin to interact. After Scaramouche hints at the rumor, it is Il Dottore who brings it up again. This makes it clear that the Fatui know something that the Travelers don’t.
Upon doing world quests, there is more that is revealed about the same. Whilst doing the quest about the Melusines, the place that is so mysterious, occurring while going through the Book of Esoteric Revelations, follows similar themes to that of Khaenri’ah, Elynas has a similar concept of a broken sky. One such place is also a scene in the Vorukasha Oasis, seeing that the Pari are all protecting the land, another look at a broken sky. However, the latest character demo might have just confirmed that concept.
Genshin Impact’s Latest Character Demo Confirms Long Ongoing Theory
Genshin Impact’s latest 5-star character, Neuvillette’s demo; Neuvillette: Font of All Waters had more than what fans might have seen at first glance. Although the entire demo showcases how he is not just a playable character but terms personality as well, the last sequence showed something that was far too easy to miss.
“This is not the end, merely a prelude for what is to come.”
By the end of his trailer, Neuvillette is walking in an unknown space, as if he is standing above water. Auroras engulf him as he is surrounded by water droplets. He talks about how the story has only just begun. Interestingly enough, he speaks about it as the sky above him breaks, almost as if the glass is shattering. This could very well be a foreshadowing of what is to come.
