The latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare 3, was showcased at Call of Duty: NEXT. For those unaware, Call of Duty: NEXT is the premier broadcast by Activision, which revolves around the latest release in the franchise. On October 5, the broadcast went live, and the reveal consisted of numerous additions to Call of Duty: Warzone™ 2.0 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
Trains, which the player in Call of Duty can now maneuver in Warzone™ 2.0 to ziplines going sideways, are just two of the changes introduced at the event. The event also showcased a brand-new city-themed map for Call of Duty: Warzone™.
The Latest Map Added in Call of Duty: Warzone™ 2.0
Urzikstan was a fictional country and was featured previously in both of the last games in the series. An X post by Activision also followed the reveal.

The new map, Urzikstan, will be reasonably dense, with swarming residential areas all over it. This will make close-quarters combat even more exciting and tricky to master. Many of the core gameplay elements will create an expected return. On the other hand, some additions that haven’t been seen in the franchise at all will be making a debut.
New Gameplay Mechanics in Call of Duty: Warzone™
Akin to Call of Duty: Warzone™ (2019), the latest addition to Warzone 2.0 is a moving train in Urzikstan. But the significant difference is that this time, it can be manually controlled by the player players. Players can set the speed and direction of the train from the cockpit. However, enemy squads can also board it or land on it. After doing so, they can pull the handbrake, which must be manually disabled.

Another mechanic that makes the run-and-gun experience better is the horizontal zipline mechanic. As the name suggests, these would allow you to flank enemies behind corners and take them out instead of the usual vertical zipline.
The three-lane Gulag also makes a return. Snappier movement. Manually equipped gas masks are some other minor additions to the gameplay experience.
The New and Improved Zombies Mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
The Call of Duty: NEXT broadcast also featured a deep dive into the Zombies mode in the upcoming title. This time, the Zombies mode includes a different extraction style gameplay compared to the traditional round-based experience. The new large-scale map for Warzone discussed earlier will be utilized to create an experience which will feel like a mashup of DMZ, extraction mode and Zombies.
Players can play this solo or in a PvE environment. The matchmaking will take place to ensure eight squads of three players. Players can get their gear and start to freely slay the undead in Freeplay or play the Dark Aether Storyline mode.

As per the developers, the Game features more zombies than ever featured in a Call of Duty map. Apart from regular zombies, the Game will also introduce different enemy classes. The new enemy types are the Abomination and the human threat called Terminus Outcomes PMC.
The core zombie features are still retained. The new Wonder Weapon is called the Scorcher, which can be used to kill zombies or traverse the map. Identical to the DMZ mode in the Game, the zombie’s mode also includes a Perk system.
