With the MCU set to incorporate X-Men into their shared universe in the foreseeable future, fans will hope to see some returning faces from Fox’s X-men universe, including Beast. Played by Nicholas Hoult in four X-Men outings, Beast is arguably one of the smartest people on the planet, thanks to his expertise in the field of biochemistry and biophysics.
But apart from being a brilliant scientist with six Ph.D.s, he also doesn’t lag when it comes to brute strength and holds the ability to go toe to toe with almost all of Earth’s mightiest heroes.
Beast’s Intelligence Gives Him the Edge Against One of the Strongest Avengers
Like Hulk, after Norton McCoy was exposed to massive amounts of radiation that affected his genes, his son Henry McCoy was born a mutant with unusually large hands and feet. Later in his life, as his power levels kept on going up, he enrolled in the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, from which he completed his doctoral studies and spent a lifetime studying mutant genes.
While he may not be as ferocious as Wolverine on the battlefield, his godly intellect surely gives him the edge over his foes, which might allow him to take down one of the strongest Avengers, Hulk. Although getting mad enables both to unlock their true potential, keeping in mind that rational thinking goes out of the window in Hulk’s case, Beast’s intelligence may help him get the better of Hulk.
Nicholas Hoult Would Love to Reprise Beast if Given the Chance
Although the chances of witnessing a confrontation between the two on the big screen are slim, there are at least possibilities of witnessing Nicholas Hoult‘s Beast in the confinements of the MCU. Nicholas Hoult, who had a great time playing the mutant in First Class, Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Dark Phoenix, stated that he is open to working for Marvel if given the chance. He told SFX (via Digital Spy),
“I would be open to it. I enjoy watching [Marvel] films. If there was a role that made sense for me, I would happily jump back in. I had a great time playing Beast and making the X-Men movies. I don’t know what Marvel is planning with the X-Men, but I’d like to see how they integrate them into that world.”
With fans on their toes to see what the MCU does with the beloved property, witnessing Nicholas Hoult back, who channeled his inner Stewie Griffin to land Beast, would be exhilarating.
