With the recently released trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI (that had been awaited for a decade), it’s time to revisit the earlier titles a bit. Starting from the 2004 game GTA: San Andreas, the game that was based on drugs, corrupt police officers, and a main hero navigating through it all.
In the game, fans may remember the iconic character of Frank Tenpenny from the game. Being the main antagonist of GTA: San Andreas alongside being a corrupt police officer, the voice of Frank Tenpenny was given by Samuel L. Jackson in the game!
Being a corrupt police officer, Tenpenny wants anybody to be killed who knows the extent of his corruption. Meeting and trying to eliminate the protagonist and his friends several times throughout the game, the character of Frank Tenpenny is quite hated for being the antagonist. And who better to voice an annoying character than The Hitman’s Bodyguard star Samuel Jackson?
Samuel L. Jackson Stands In Support of Brie Larson
Although portraying the role of a corrupt cop in GTA: San Andreas, Samuel Jackson is not one of the people to idly stand by. Starring alongside Brie Larson in the 2019 movie Captain Marvel, Jackson didn’t take kindly to haters of Larson who were trolling the actress and Samuel L. Jackson responded kindly via an interview with Rolling Stone.
“Brie’s a stronger person than people give her credit for. She’s not going to let any of that stuff destroy her. These incel dudes who hate strong women, or the fact that she’s a feminist who has an opinion and expressed it?”
He further continued,
“Everybody wants people to be who they want them to be. She is who she is, and she’s genuinely that.”
With a negative role of Officer Frank Tenpenny to his name, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is available to buy digitally or physically through various stores. The 2004 game is available for PlayStation 2, PC, Xbox, and other platforms. As for the latest update, Grand Theft Auto VI is set for a release date in 2025 for players around the world.
