Naruto has some of the best-written anime characters and many fan-favorite characters. One of them is Kurama, also known as the nine-tailed fox. Throughout the series, he has been a crucial aspect of the story, helped Naruto defeat his enemies countless times, and is his best friend.
However, at the beginning of the series, Kurama is shown as a villain who only wants to kill humans and has to be sealed to protect the villages. It was not until he met Naruto that he understood that there are good people in the world. Naruto became the influence that turned Kurama from evil to a heartbreaking character.
Naruto’s persistence towards helping others changed Kurama
Naruto and Kurama, in the beginning, had a very toxic relationship where both hated each other. Kurama was the reason Naruto was avoided as a kid. As he was considered to possess a tailed beast, not many people wanted to speak to Naruto, and he was mostly left secluded.
And due to his past experiences being used as a tool to win wars, Kurama stopped trusting anyone a long time ago.
Naruto was the first person to treat Kurama respectfully and he was okay with not using his powers. As Kurama was always inside Naruto, he saw that he was a good person.
Ever since the beginning, Naruto has been a good child who wants to help others, and even during crucial moments, he relies on his power rather than asking Kurama.
This proved to be the key to Kurama’s heart, where he eventually realized that Naruto was the closest person to Haguromo and, therefore, decided to trust him, becoming his source of power.
Naruto and Kurama’s relationship from the beginning to the end
Kurama has been the cause of suffering for Naruto since the beginning; as seen at the start of the series, he is the one who kills many people in the village.
At the story’s beginning, Kurama killed Minato and several other people from Konoha village, resulting in the village’s resentment towards Naruto.
Occasionally, Kurama lends his power to Naruto whenever he is about to die since he does not want to die with him as well.
It was only until Shippuden that Naruto and Kurama faced each other, and Naruto emerged victorious; however, he still did not force Kurama to lend his power.
This was the turning point in their dynamic, which made Kurama realize that Naruto was a pure soul and became his loyal companion.
