Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 is easily one of the most popular third-person shooter video games in the world right now. The developers recently released a patch for the game to fix many bugs that were ruining the gaming experience for many players.
With patch 1.000.13, many things were improved and fixed, however, there are still many bugs in the game that Arrowhead is working hard to fix. Helldivers 2 was released for PlayStation 5 and Windows on 8 February 2024 and upon release, it received positive reviews from critics. Just three days after the game’s release, approximately one million units were already sold.
Helldivers 2‘s latest patch 1.000.13 fixed many bugs
The latest patch, 1.000.13, was released for Helldivers 2 and it has made the lives somewhat easier for the players. For starters, PlayStation 5 players will no longer run into problems while queueing and logging in to the game as they have fixed this issue. Players on both Steam PC and PlayStation 5 reported that the Super Credits were disappearing, and sometimes weren’t being credited to their account. Arrowhead Game Studios has now fixed this issue as well as the issue of Premium Warbonds being unusable randomly. Max Carlberg posted a list of things that were improved/fixed in this patch:
- Improved: login speed and error messages on PS5
- Improved: support for AZERTY keyboards by allowing the Ship HUD shortcuts to be rebound
- Fixed: Super Credits not showing up after purchase or collection
- Fixed: Premium Warbond not being accessible after purchase
- Fixed: crash which could occur when a player changed their rank or title
- Fixed: missing text in HUD for Acquisitions and Social menus
- Fixed: crash which could occur while browsing the mission Hologram
- Fixed: unlimited stratagem use glitch which occurred after an AFK kick
- Fixed: missing equipment issues after an AFK kick
- Fixed: purple question marks appearing after an AFK kick
Despite the problem of cheating ruining the game, there was no acknowledgment of anti-cheat in this latest patch. Nonetheless, these latest changes have improved the game overall and as they gear up for a large fanbase, they must fix the existing problems as well.
Some issues in Helldivers 2 are still not fixed
Arrowhead Game Studios is aware of these problems in the game that “were either introduced by this patch or are from a previous version of the game.” Carlberg has mentioned that these problems are being worked on:
- New Personal Orders are not showing.
- Login rate limiting when many are logging in at the same time.
- Players can become disconnected during play.
- Rewards and other progress may be delayed or not attributed.
- Various UI issues may appear when the game interacts with servers.
- Pick-up of certain objects in-game may cause characters to freeze in place for an extended period of time.
- Some games would not be joinable by others for a short period of time during heavy load.
- Other unknown behaviors may occur.
- Japanese VO is missing from intro cutscene and Ship TV.
- Armor values for light/medium/heavy armor do not currently function as intended.
In the future, these problems will certainly be fixed as Arrowhead is constantly dropping updates to give the fans a smooth gaming experience. Helldivers 2 was released for PlayStation 5 and Windows on 8 February 2024 and in less than a month, the game is already one of the most popular and thrilling co-op third-person shooter games out there.
