The latest Major Order in Helldivers 2 is about to end soon, and as of now, players are far from completing it. The Major Order will reward players with a new Strategem if they decommission 2,000,000,000 Automatons, but roughly 64% of the goal has been achieved as of now. This resulted in a civil war among the community as a player bashed gamers who are currently fighting Terminids when the Major Order asked them to wipe out Automatons.
Completing Major Orders requires a lot of unity among the players and this is not the first time gamers have fought each other. Toxic players and team-killing have been ruining the gaming experience for everyone, in fact, Arrowhead Game Studios CEO, Johan Pilestedt, had to remind players that they have to be kind as everyone is on the same side.
A civil war has been triggered among the Helldivers 2 community because of the latest Major Order
A Reddit user named Content_Guest_6802 has addressed a major problem on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit that is stopping players from completing the latest Major Order. The Major Order has ordered players to decommission 2,000,000,000 Automatons, which will be then melted down and reconstructed into a new Stratagem called MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines.
At the time of writing, players have only managed to complete roughly 64% of the required goal and the community has only less than a day to complete it.
40% of helldivers active on bugs…

The real problem that this Reddit post has pointed out is the lack of unity among the players. The user claimed that 40% of the Helldivers 2 players are focused on killing only Terminids, while the Major Order wants them to kill Automatons. It seems like MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines isn’t tempering enough as a major portion of the community has ignored the Major Order.
Is the Helldivers 2 community becoming toxic?
In most cases, the Helldivers 2 community is very welcoming. However, like every other shooting game, there are some toxic players. Plus, due to miscommunication in the community, this problem is only growing. Last month, players were intentionally team-killing anyone who was the Fallen Hero’s Vengeance cape, labeling those players as “Creekers.“ This term was for the section of players who ignored the battle of Malevelon Creek at the time while other planets needed to be liberated.
Due to the growing toxicity, Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Johan Pilestedt reminded the players in an interview with PlayStation Blog that all players should be kind and do their parts as a fun community where everyone is on the same side. The players should certainly unite and fight together as a much bigger threat is slowly marching towards them: the third rumored faction of the game, the Illuminate.
